Spring Product Development LLC ("Spring," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at spring-pd.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect only the information we need to respond to your inquiries.
1. Who we are
Spring Product Development LLC is an engineering and design consulting firm with offices in New Haven, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts. For any privacy questions, contact us at hello@spring-pd.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you choose to enter, namely:
- Your name
- Your company
- Your email address
- The contents of your message
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This data is used for security and to keep the site running reliably. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. It is cookieless and does not track you across other websites or build a profile of you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party profiling tools on this site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your program or request
- Provide information about our services
- Maintain records of our correspondence
- Operate, secure, and improve our website
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and respond to you, and only as needed for those purposes:
- Formspree — processes and delivers our contact form submissions. Form data is transmitted to and stored by Formspree on our behalf. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Vercel — our website host. Vercel stores and serves the website, maintains server logs as described above, and provides the aggregate, cookieless analytics described in section 5. See Vercel's privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Spring, our clients, or others.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising cookies, and we do not use cross-site tracking or fingerprinting technologies. Our analytics provider, Vercel, collects aggregate page-view data without using cookies. Fonts are served directly from our own site rather than a third-party font service, so visiting our pages does not share your information with outside font providers.
6. Data retention
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for our legitimate business records, after which we delete or anonymize it. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your rights" below).
7. Your rights and choices
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@spring-pd.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
EU/UK visitors
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing the information you submit is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Our site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to submitted information to those who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Our website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
